Ordinary Love

'Ordinary Love' follows a middle-aged married couple, Tom (Liam Neeson, 'Schindler's List', 'A Monster Calls', 'Love Actually') and Joan (Lesley Manville, 'Phantom Thread', 'Harlots', 'World on Fire'), living in Belfast. The two have been married for years and are comfortably settled in the life that they share together, taking the same walk alongside the sea every day and sharing jokes in front of the television. Their contented lifestyle is interrupted, however, when Joan discovers a lump in her breast and is subsequently diagnosed with breast cancer, something that is particularly painful for the two of them having already lost their daughter years prior. The diagnosis seems to hang over them at all times, with their cozy home life interspersed with trips to the cold and clinical hospital for Joan's chemotherapy sessions. Tom and Joan struggle to remain calm and united in the face of a brutal, life-changing time and hope that their ordinary, beautiful love is enough to see them through it.

'Ordinary Love' is directed by directorial duo Lisa Barros D'Sa and Glenn Leyburn ('Good Vibrations', 'Cherrybomb') . Owen McCafferty ('Mickybo and Me') writes the script. Amit Shah ('Jekyll & Hyde', 'The Witcher') and David Wilmot ('Anna Karenina', 'The Crown') join the cast.
