Opera Prima

Matías is 25 years old. Despite to be a young man, this journalist is recently divorced. Full of bitterness, roams the streets of Madrid lonely and melancholy way. One day, while in the Plaza de Isabel II (popularly known as Plaza de Ópera) meets his cousin Violet. She is 18 year old and she is the opposite Matías, a vivacious and passionate violin girl who dresses the hippie style. Gradually, Matías are falling in love with his cousin. Although they are very different, although he still cost to believe what is happening and even though his friends give him advice and caution that is crazy; Matías reaches the final conclusion that Violet is the woman of his life, that he will share with the rest of his days. 'Ópera Prima' is, appropriately titled, the first film directed by acclaimed filmmaker Fernando Trueba. Starring Óscar Ladoire, Paula Molina and Antonio Resines.
