On the Milky Road

'On the Milky Road' is a love story, which combines drama, comedy and adventure, directed and starring Emir Kusturica, the Serbian director and screenwriter twice rewarded by the Cannes Film Festival. The film, based on the short film by the same director 'Words with Gods', is set during the Balkan War, in a Serbian village where every morning a milkman crosses the war front to sell the soldiers their delicious products. The peaceful day to day of the peasant becomes a tumult with the arrival of a mysterious Italian woman. Between the two protagonists will arise a passionate and carnal love, but forbidden, that will force them to face a series of obstacles that will have to overcome to save their relationship.
