Plot
Novitiate is contextualized in the mid-1960s, when a 17-year-old girl, Cathleen, begins an initiation with love. Cathleen was raised by her mother who was not at all religious in rural Tennessee, but as she begins a courtship she begins to realize and to be attracted to a life dedicated to the worship and worship of God. The young woman will be destined to face the problems of faith and sexuality.
