Plot
Thomas (Nicholas Hoult) and Ellen (Lily-Rose Depp) are a newly married couple in 19th century Germany. However, they need money to escape the hunger and disease that plague the area. This is why Thomas accepts a lucrative job offer: to deliver some papers to Count Orlok (Bill Skarsgård), who lives in his eerie castle, in exchange for a substantial salary. Although everything goes relatively well, things take a turn when Thomas discovers that his client is an ancient vampire.
Despite barely escaping from his castle, Orlok comes to Germany to shake the city with terror and chaos. Moreover, he stalks Ellen in disturbing dreams. What does he want from her? Will the couple survive the threat? 'Nosferatu' is a film directed by Robert Eggers, who reimagines Murnau's classic from 1922 to present his own version of the events to the audience.
The cast is completed by Willem Dafoe and Aaron Taylor-Johnson, among others. The film has been generally acclaimed by critics, boasting a 90 percent approval rating among users on the Rotten Tomatoes portal during its premiere. Bill Skarsgård, known for being a character actor, claims that his Nosferatu is his most terrifying acting. Film arrives December 25th, the very Christmas day.
