North to Alaska

Henry Hathaway directed this western set during the American gold rush featuring two new rich, Sam (John Wayne) and George (Stewart Granger), who after finding the coveted metal decide to settle in Alaska. So George asks his partner Sam to go to Seattle in search of her fiancee. The plot thickens when Sam discovers that his friend's fiancee is already married and decides to return to Alaska with Angel (Capucine), a beautiful dancer with whom he will try to match George. But eventually spark arises between Angel and Sam while the woman is trying to avoid the unwanted attentions of Billy (Fabian), the younger brother of George, and the partners do their best to defend their newfound fortune of the advances of Frankie (Ernie Kovacs), a con artist willing to leave them with nothing.
