Plot
'Norma Rae' is a 1979 drama movie directed by Martin Ritt, based on true events, which tells the process of political consciousness of a woman and her discover and compromise with labor unions and their fight.
Norma Rae is a textile factory worker from the south of United States of America. After her husband's death, Norma goes through very difficult times in her life and she comes back to her parent's home. Her life changes upside down when a New York union leader comes to the city and tries to create an union in Norma's factory. She will join the union's laboral fight and she will be married again to a colleague. Norma will have to face big difficulties in order to carry forward her factory's union.
