'Norm of the North' trivia and fun facts

Originally planned for a straight-to-DVD release, but eventually was given a wide theatrical run.

The movie went through a troubled 6 year production, being delayed and re-written several times.

Anthony Bell (who previously directed Lionsgate's hit film 'Alpha and Omega' (2010)) was suppose to direct this film, but Trevor Wall replaced him.

Chicago comedian Matt Bryne did a performance art piece claiming to have directed the film. Until he recieved a cease and decease letter.

'The North' in the film's title geographically refers to northern Canada (the Canadian Arctic).
