On the night of October 12, 2016, the Grenoble JP Police officers celebrate the retirement of their boss, with Yohan Vives (Bastien Bouillon) as his successor. That same night, in Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne, 21-year-old Clara Royer (Lula Cotton-Frapier) leaves her friend Stéphanie's house (Pauline Serieys) after a party. After making a video call with her, she meets a hooded man who greets her, then douses him with gasoline and sets him on fire, dying seconds after her.

Due to a bureaucratic issue, it is the Judicial Police and not the Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne Gendarmerie that has to handle the case. After identifying the victim and revealing what happened to her relatives, Yohan and Marceau (Bouli Lanners), his second lieutenant, begin to draw up a list of suspects with the help of Stéphanie. In this way, a blind investigation will begin in which the motive for the crime is not clear, as well as a series of revelations that will highlight the prejudices that society has towards the behavior of women.

Directed by Dominik Moll, who co-written screenplay along with Gilles Marchand, 'The Night of the 12th' stars Bastien Bouillon and Bouli Lanners, the cast is completed by Théo Cholbi, Johann Dionnet, Thibaut Evrard, Julien Frison, Paul Jeanson, Mouna Soualem, Pauline Serieys, Lula Cotton-Frapier, and Pierre Lottin.
