Next Time I'll Aim for the Heart

'Next Time I'll Aim for the Heart' is a dramatic thriller directed by Cédric Anger. It is an adaptation of a novel based on true events written by Yvan Stefanovitch.

The movie is set on the late 70s on a small suburb of Paris where the people is traumatized by a serial killer who's responsable of killing female hitchhickers and sending threatening letters to the french police. One of the lead investigators of these crimes and one of the people in charge to catch the killer will be Franck (Guillaume Canet), a methodic and model policeman who lives an ordinary life and is a respected man on the police department. But catching the killer will be a difficult and dangerous task as Franck is, secretly, the killer itself.
