National Velvet

Velvet Brown (Elizabeth Taylor) is a young girl. She lives in England with her family. One day, Velvet saves a horse, it called Pie, the horse had been sacrificed and she decides to save it and train it. Mi Taylor (Mickey Rooney), a young man who works for Velvet's father, Herbert Brown (Donald Crips), helps Velvet in her training and both get involved in the Gran National. After the hopelessness of the jockey who would control the horse, Velvet decides to posea as a professional jockey and participate in the race. 'National Velvet' won two Oscars.
