My Days of Mercy

Lucy (Ellen Page) and Martha Arrow (Amy Seimetz) are two sisters who attend state executions in the Midwest on a regular basis to demonstrate in favor of the abolition of death sentences. The reason is that her own father (Elias Koteas) was convicted of murder and now awaits his time on death row.

In one of those events, Lucy meets Mercy (Kate Mara), the daughter of a police officer, and they fall in love but they are completely opposite. Mercy is in the execution to celebrate that kind of justice after having lost her partner at the hands of a man who was about to receive the lethal injection. Can they overcome their differences or end up consuming their relationship?
