Plot
in the French capital in the 1930s, 'My Crime' tells the story of Madeleine, a girl who dreams to becoming a well-known actress, something she is not achieving thanks to her low financial resources and little, or no, talent for interpretation. To all these problems another enormous one is going to be added: Madeleine is suspected of the murder of a very famous film producer. In her misfortunes Madeleine is not alone, she has always had the support of her best friend Pauline, who just happens to have just graduated in Law. Pauline's first job also promises to be her most personal, as the young lawyer will defend her friend in her murder trial. The trial will bring fame and money to Madeline, something she has been looking for for years but... will it compensate her for the price she will have to pay in exchange for her media recognition or will it sink her even more?
The French director, François Ozon, adds with this a new film to the long list of credits that his filmography already accumulates. In addition to directing Ozon, he scripted this film, which is an adaptation of the novel 'Mon Crime' by French writers Georges Berr and Louis Verneuil, written and published in 1934.
As for the cast, this film stars Nadia Tereszkiewicz, who plays Madeleine Verdier, and Rebecca Mader, her lawyer friend.
