Música

'Música' is a romantic comedy written, directed, and starred by Rudy Mancuso, who also composes the original music for the movie. It is an Amazon MGM Studios production released by Prime Video on April 4, 2023.

The film is, in a way, an autobiography of Mancuso himself, a young influencer who became known through the social network Vine in 2013 and who suffers from synesthesia, a kind of disorder that makes him find rhythm in everyday sounds of daily life.

In the film, Rudy is a street artist in the Brazilian community of Newark. Like any young person, he seeks to finish his studies and a better future while living with his mother Maria. One day, Rudy crosses paths with Isabella, a promising Brazilian who works at the local market's fish shop and connects with him like no one else had. Thus, he finds himself entangled in a love triangle while trying to deal with his personal and cultural problems.

The film's cast is completed with Maria Mancuso, Rudy's mother who also plays his mother in the fiction, Camila Mendes and Francisca Reale are the young man's love interests, while JB Smoove plays Anwar, the owner of a food truck who is one of Rudy's best friends.

Released at the South by Southwest Festival in March 2024, 'Música' has managed to win the favor of critics.
