Mother and son

Set in the late eighties, Rose is a girl that moves from Ivory Coast to the suburbs of the french capital with Ernest and Jean, her two young kids. The film covers the next 20 years of the small family, since they arrived to Paris and their beginnings in the city to the present day. A emotional tale about the construction and destruction of the family core.

'Mother and son' is a feature film written and directed by Léonor Serraille, winner of the Camera d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival in 2017 with its premiere in the format in the feature film, 'Jeune Femme'. In this new movie the french director wants to tell part of her history and her country. The score is composed, produced, written and performed by José Miguel Ortegon.

About the cast, 'Mother and son' is starred by Annabelle Lengronne. Her childs, Ernest and Jean, are portrait by different actors in order to represent the passing of those twenty years. In the case of Ernets, Milan Doucansi, Kenzo Sambin and Ahmed Sylla play Rose's youngest son, while Jean is played by Sidy Fofana and Stéphane Bak.
