Morlaix

Gwen (Aminthe Audiard) is a young French girl studying at the Morlaix high school with her friends. However, her life takes a turn when her mother suddenly passes away. Affected, Gwen tries to find her way again and leave her past behind. The arrival of Jean-Luc (Samuel Kircher) will make her reconsider things. He is a young Parisian who has come to Morlaix to study. He is mysterious yet endearing.

Gwen feels inevitably attracted to him, but she must sort out her feelings and not hurt her partner's one. He is called Thomas and is a kitchen assistant. Along with her friends, the two lovers go to the cinema to see a movie titled 'Morlaix'. Although it is initially thought to be boring, the film profoundly impacts Gwen, as she sees herself reflected in what she is witnessing. Years later she will return to her town to remember old times.

'Morlaix' is a film directed by Jaime Rosales ('Petra') and written by Fanny Burdino ('Carole Matthieu'), Samuel Doux ('Dune Dreams'), and Delphine Gleize ('Carnages'). The title, which has entered the official selection of the Rotterdam Film Festival, constantly changes its aspect ratio to tell several overlapping stories. A Contracorriente Films brings the film to Spain, arriving in theaters on March 14.
