Moonbound

First full-length animated film by German-Iranian filmmaker Ali Samadi Ahadi, who dared to combine CGI animation with live-action in his 'Pettersson und Findus' trilogy. Based on the fable tale 'Gerdt von Bassewitz' by Gerdt von Bassewitz. Produced by Little Dream Entertainment, production company with several familiar films such as 'Everyday Heroes', 'Teheran Tabu', 'Boonie Bears: Blast into the Past' and 'Lino'.

Peter sets out on a journey to magical and mysterious territory to rescue his little sister Anne. He must travel to a very far place... to the Moon! Anne has been kidnapped when she was trying to help her beetle friend, Mr. Zoomzeman, in search of her wife. In this fantastic adventure, Peter lands on the star Meadow where he meets Mr. Sandman who tells him that they can only know Anne's whereabouts, at the night fairy dinner, in the castle in the clouds. This fun group joins in an exciting adventure through the Milky Way, against the five Spirits of Nature: Storm Giant, Lightning Witch, Henry Hail, Rainy Robin and Mother Frost.

'Moonbound' is directed by Ali Samadi Ahadi, who writes screenplay along with Arne Nolting. In its original German dubbing, it features the voices of Dirk Petrick, Roxana Samadi, Peter Simonischek, Raphael von Bargen, Tom Vogt, and Gerti Drassl. Although produced and premiered in countries such as Australia, Ireland, Norway, Portugal or Russia in 2021, its premiere in its native country, Germany, was delayed until 2022 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, aggravated by Omicron variant.
