Mon Roi

'Mon Roi' is a French dramatic movie directed by actress and filmmaker Maïwenn. In the film stars Vincent Cassel, Emmanuelle Bercot and Louis Garrel.

The main plot of the film focuses on Tony and Georgio, a couple who find themselves in a passionate but destructive relationship. After a serious ski accident, Tony needs to be admitted to a rehabilitation center to recover from her physical and psychological wounds. While she is depending on the medical staff and pain killers, she will take time to think about her toxic relationship, the man she is in love with and how she allowed herself to be in such destructive and passionate relation.

French actress Emmanuelle Bercot won the Award for Best Actress Ex-aequo for her role as Tony on the last edition of Cannes Film Festival.
