Modigliani of Montparnasse

Biopic about the last year of life of the famous Italian painter and sculptor Amadeo Modigliani. The artist spent his last days living in absolute poverty in the bustling Paris in the late 20s, where eventually pass away victim of tuberculosis. But until then he lived for 15 years in the city of light, where he fell in love with a daughter of a wealthy family. When the girl's parents learned of the relationship he had his first child with the artist, they stopped financing it economically. Nevertheless, the relationship remained between frights and disputes until the day of the death of Modigliani. Feature french film is directed by Jacques Becker and starring Gerard Philipe and Lilli Palmer.
