Miss Kiet's Children

Documentary film that follows the steps of the teacher Kiet Engels and her students, many of them refugees. Full of emotional and even hilarious moments, 'Miss Kiet's Children' is a chronicle of small changes that, for other people, can be immense.

Miss Kiet's students have just arrived in the country and she, with a firm but loving hand, teaches them to read and write in Dutch, to solve problems together and to respect themself. In this way, little by little they acquire skills and self-confidence in a new environment.

Only through observation, without a voice narrating what happens, the film focuses on four of these children: Haya, Leanne, Jorj and Maksim. The viewer can see their efforts in learning a new language, in addition to their fights, friendships and even love.
