Plot

When the adorables creatures called Stuart, Kevin, and Bob can't get their wanted bananas at the supermarket, they decide to go and complain about this fact before the responsibles, but they end up in the White House with the president. And, when then they go to complain to this place, they get kicked out without resolving absolutely nothing. Thus, the minions try to overthrow the US government to get their juicy and sweet fruit.

Meanwhile, Young Gru is decided to do evil plans and to teach the new helpers, the minions, to do everything for him. When Gru gets shunned by the town, he freezes them all to death to try to teach them the lesson. But, in the end, Young Gru learns nothing about evilness' world and plans and the Minions get their delicious bananas.

The movie is directed by Kyle Balda ('Orientation Day', 'The Lorax', 'Despicable Me 3'), who already did it with the first part, and Brad Ableson ('Good Vibes', 'Yellow Light', 'Legends of Chamberlain Heights'). Steve Carrell ('Vice', 'Battles of the Sexes', The Morning Show') comes back to give his voice to Gru and Pierre Coffin ('La La Land', 'Yellow is the New Black', 'The Secret Life of Kyle') does it as well with the minions.

Its release is expected on January 1st in 2021.
