Micronauts

Hasbro and Paramount join their forces together one more time after creating 'G.I. Joe' and 'Transformers' in this project based upon one of its toylines.

The Micronauts were some North American sci-fi toys which were commercialized by Mego between the mid-70's and the 80's. They are based on the toyline of the license "Microman" of another company, the Japanese company Takara. After the bankruptcy and the dissolution of Mego in 1982, Palisades Toys acquired the rights of these figures in 2002 with the idea of manufacturing a new line of the Micronauts toys. These new molds were based on some figures from the two previous toy companies, Mego and Takara.

In relation to their presence outside the world of toys, the Micronauts had their own adventures in a comic format. From 1979 to 1986, Marvel Comics was publishing their graphic novels. From 2002 to 2003 it was Imagen Comics' turn. After that Devil's Due Publishing did it in 2004 and lastly IDW has done it from 2016 to 2018.

Although there are very few details about this movie, we have found out that its release date was postponed from October 16th 2020 to June 4th 2021 and it will be directed by Dean DeBlois ('How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World', 'The Other Side of the Wind').
