Mia Madre

This Nanni Moretti's movie transports us to the point of view of a woman of approximately forty years, Margherita (Margherita Buy), a director of cinema politically compromised in full process of separation of Vittorio, an actor with the one has jointly a daughter called Livia. His brother (Nani Moretti) decides to leave his work to devote itself body and soul to his seriously sick mother in the hospital. This project shows us an analysis of how affect the diseases in day after day of the families, as well as the consequences of the divorce. Exhibited in the Official Selection of the Cannes Film Festival, also won two David di Donatello awards, including one for its lead actress. Buy and Moretti were also nominated for the European Film Awards and has been seen at the San Sebastian Film Festival.
