Leonard is an insurance investigator whose memory is irreversibly damaged because of a blow to the head while he was trying to prevent the murder of his wife -the last fact recalls its long-term memory- Because of the hit, he can't retain in memory the things that happen beyond a few minutes. Each little time left, Leonard can't remember the last thing that has happened and is in a unknown place or with an unknown person.
