Meeting with Pol Pot

'Meeting with Pol Pot' tells the story of three French journalists who decide to travel to Cambodia after receiving an invitation from the Khmer Rouge regime to interview Pol Pot. This leads them to embark on a mission that is, to say the least, dangerous, where they end up seeing their certainties shattered by the reality behind the propaganda and the treatment they receive.

The film is starring Irène Jacob, who has been awarded Best Actress at the Cannes Film Festival. Her filmography includes 'The Double Life of Véronique', 'Goodbye, Children', 'Three Colors: Red', and 'Beyond the Clouds'. The other two leads are played by César Grégorie Colin, nominated for the César Award and known for his roles in "Oliver, Oliver", "Nénette et Boni", and Cyril Gueï, who appears in 'How I Became a Superhero' and 'Full Time'.

This marks the twenty-fifth film directed by Rithy Panh, who has an extensive filmography in which he also serves as a screenwriter and producer. He was part of the production team for 'First They Killed My Father: A Daughter of Cambodia Remembers', the film directed by Angelina Jolie in 2017. This film received numerous nominations, including one for the BAFTA Awards in the category of Best Film Not in the English Language. He is also known for his film released in 2013, 'The Missing Picture'.
