McKellen: Playing the Part

'McKellen: Playing the Part' is a movie built around an interview with the emblematic figure of the British actor Ian McKellen. McKellen narrows his story from his childhood to his first steps in the world of acting, where he stood out right away. The actor tells as well how he became the leader of the campaign for equality, but also he comments two of his greatest roles in the industry, such as Magneto in 'X-Men' saga and Gandalf in 'The Lord of the Rings' saga. The film presents photographs from the actor's private album and archive material which has never seen before. Joe Stephenson is the director of this film starring Ian McKellen, Scott Chambers, Luke Evans, Milo Parker, Adam Brown and Frances Barber.
