Directed and written by filmmaker Fran Kranz, 'Mass' portrays in different ways the consequences of a violent tragedy, thus affecting the lives of two couples. The cast includes Jason Isaacs, Martha Plimpton, Ann Dowd, Reed Birney, Breeda Wool, Michelle N. Carter, and Kagen Albright.

Kranz reveals that he came up with the idea to create the film after February 14, 2018, the day of the Parkland school shooting. As he listened to the news in his car, he heard an interview from one of the parents affected. He was so on edge, emotionally speaking, that he was forced to stop in order to continue. " We had been hearing about school shootings for 20 years, but I had never had that kind of reaction, "he explains. "It was strange".

Isaacs talks about what motivated him to accept his role: "I was desperately interested in the lives of these people and whether they were going to come to some place of peace," he recalls. " I read it and I sollocé. What fascinated me was the general idea, which is how people overcome the poison of their past. How do you overcome resentment, how do you overcome hatred? How do people see their enemies declared as human beings?".

'Mass' has been praised by international critics. Media such as The Hollywood Reporter classify it as "heartbreaking" and extol the actors' performances: "superb performances".
