Mascarade

After a motorcycle accident, the attractive gigolo Adrien (Pierre Niney) loses himself in idleness and squanders his youth. However, his life is turned upside down when he meets on the French Riviera the seductive Margot (Marine Vacth), a woman who makes a living by manipulating, cheating and scamming people and with whom he is instantly smitten. Adrien and Margot begin a love affair. United by the ambition of a life full of luxury, they plot together the necessary scams to get their hands on what they want. But how far are they willing to go, and can they manage to get their hands on the means of a real estate agent (François Cluzet) and a former movie star (Isabelle Adjani), even if it's all they have?

Nicolas Bedos, French César Award-winning filmmaker for the screenplay of 'La Belle Époque', takes the plunge with 'Mascarade', a film he writes and directs alone. In his cast, we find French actors and actresses such as Pierre Niney ('Yves Saint Laurent', 'Promise at Dawn'), Isabelle Adjani ('Possession', 'Nosferatu, the Vampire'), Marine Vacth ('Young and beautiful', 'The Confession'), François Cluzot ('The Intouchables', 'Don't Tell Anyone'), Emmanuelle Devos ('Just a Sigh', 'Deception') and Laura Morante ('The Son's Room', 'Tragedy of a Ridiculous Man').
