Plot
Reginald Hudlin is the director of this drama that talks about the start of Thurgood Marshal's (Chadwick Boseman) career before he became an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States during World War II. Marshall, before becoming the first black man to hold this position, was a lawyer to NAACP (National Association for the Advancement of the Colored People) in Connecticut, that accepted the case of a black chauffeur played by Sterling K. Brown, who had been accused of the rape and the murder attempt of Eleonor Strubing, his boss. In order to obtain the win, Marshall merges with other lawyer, Samuel Friedman, between the two of them they manage to implicate a trial that later will set the bases for the remodelling of civil rights.
