The film is based on a Wattpad novel written by the Valencian author Teensspirit, who protects her identity under that pseudonym. The plot follows a bodyguard and a girl in danger who face a complicated love. With more than 44 million readings on Wattpad and a physical adaptation in 2021 by Penguin Random House, this young romance story has become one of the most popular of the decade.

A young millionaire, Reese Russell (played by Ele? A Rochera) leads a seemingly perfect life, but everything becomes complicated when she begins to be harassed and receives anonymous threats. Her father, Bruce (played by Enrique Arce), hires the young criminal and orphan Eros Douglas (played by Alberto Olmo) as her bodyguard. Despite belonging to very different worlds, Reese and Eros feel a special connection. However, has the decision to bring them together been the right one?

The film, directed by Chloe Wallace and produced by Nadie es Perfecto, N&L Films and Wattpad WEBTOON Studios, has the support of Netflix, the Institute of Cinematography and Audiovisual Arts (ICAA) and the Valencian generalitat. The cast also includes Mirela Balic, Farid Bechara, Sara Ariño, Mar Isern, Selam Ortega, Fer Fraga and Clara Chain.
