In a desert town where nothing ever happens, the police chief Jordan Sanders discovers in a matter of days two murders of two women with the same name. In his investigation he must cope with a collection of unfaithful husbands, lonely hearts, hired murderers and a nosy neighbor, in an attempt of joining the pieces of the case and also of his life. The film is inspired in true events.

Directed by actor and director John Slattery, known for his roles in 'Spotlight', 'Captain America: Civil War', 'Ant-Man' and 'Avengers: Endgame' among others; he has directed 'God's Pocket' and the TV shows 'Love' and 'Mad Men', in which he worked with John Hamm, who stars this movie. Hamm is known for his roles in 'Million Dollar Arm', 'Unbreakable Jimmy Schmidt', 'The Report' and 'Black Mirror', among others. His cast mate, Tina Fey, is the creator of the shows 'Rockefeller Plaza' and 'Unbreakable Jimmy Schmidt' and has worked as a writer in 'Mean Girls' and 'Saturday Night Live'. She's had roles in films like 'Soul', 'This Is Where I Leave You' and 'Wine Country'.
