Plot
The Dumar family is a French family in which the profession of conductor is passed down from generation to generation. Now François is at the culmination of his long and brilliant career, while Denis, his son, has just achieved his umpteenth 'Victorie de la Misique Classique'. At that time, in Milan they are looking for a conductor to conduct the orchestra in 'La Scala', and the chosen one to the position turns out to be François, thus fulfilling his last dream his "Holy Grail". Without giving credit to the news he calls his son, who at first is excited for his father but later becomes disillusioned to know that in fact he is the one chosen to lead in the Italian city.
Directed by Bruno Chiche ('L'un dans l'autre'), the French-born film presents this family drama set in a musical atmosphere starring Yvan Attal ('La syndicaliste') playing Denis and Pierre Arditi ('La belle époque') in the role of François, accompanied byMiou-Miou ('La science des rêves'), Caroline Anglade ('Plancha'), Pascale Arbillot ('Balle perdue 2'), Nils Othenin-Girard ('Un vrai bonhomme'), André Marcon ('Marguerite'), Caterina Murino ('Casino Royale'), Benoît Moret ('Les femmes du square') or Valentina Vandelli ('Petits secrets en famille') among others. With a screenplay wrote by Joseph Cedar, Bruno Chiche, Yaël Langmann and Clément Peny.
