Madalena

'Madalena' is the new work of the brasilian director Madiano Marcheti. With an approximate duration of 85 minutes, the film of Brazilian origin follows the appearance of a lifeless body in the middle of a soy field. This is Madalena, dressed in a white suit, a transsexual who no one knows how or why she disappeared. Luziane, Cristiano and Bianca are three inhabitants of the same town in the west of Brazil where this murder takes place. Everyone, each in a different way, will be affected by Madalena?s murder.

The film stars Joana Castro, Mariane Cáceres, Rafael de Bona, Lua Guerreiro, Natália Mazarim, Chloe Milan, Lucas Miralles, Nadja Mitidiero, Antonio Salvador and Pâmella Yulle.

The film is written by Marcheti, Tiago Coelho, Thiago Gallego, Thiago Ortman and Helena Vieira. In turn, the soundtrack is the work of Júnior Marcheti and Bernardo Uzeda, while photography is the responsibility of Tiago Rios and Guilherme Tostes.

The title is produced by Polofilme, Raccord Produções, ViraLata Filmes and Terceira Margem.

'Madalena' will focus on transgender issues at a time when transgender issues are on the agenda.

The film will be released in cinemas across Spain on 25 November 2022, although it had its first premiere in our country on 18 September 2021 at the San Sebastian Film Festival.
