Love at First Sight

'Love at First Sight' is an American romantic comedy directed by Vanessa Caswill and written by Katie Lovejoy. It is based on the book "The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight" by Jennifer E. Smith published in 2011. The film stars Haley Lu Richardson and Ben Hardy.

Hadley Sullivan (Richardson) is a teenager who is having one of the worst days of her life: she has just lost her flight to London to attend her father's second wedding, to which se definitely will be late. She also haven't met yet her soon-to-be new step-mother.

Everything changes when, in the middle of airport chaos, se meets Oliver (Hardy), a handsome british boy who is casually sitting by her side on the airplane. The transatlantic flight between London and New York passes in the blink of an eye for the two youngsters, whose attraction for each other is evident. However, after arriving at London, they get lost at customs and pull apart without having each others contact. Will destiny make them meet again?

The movie was produced during 2020 and shot at the beginning of 2021, well before Netflix bought its distribution rights in April 2022. The streaming platform is taking advantage that the film producers are the same of the 'All the boys' saga to add it to its romantic young adult films.
