Plot
'Lost Soul: The Doomed Journey of Richard Stanley?s Island of Dr. Moreau' is a documentary based on the troubled shooting of 1996 film 'The Island of Dr. Moreau', a film adaptation of the novel of English author H.G. Wells. The documentary is narrated from Richard Stanley's point of view, who always dreamed of filming this story and in the 90's his dream was fulfilled. He was fired after just three days of shooting due to all the problems between New Line 's management and the director and also due to all the replacements that the main cast suffered that didn't please the director. This documentary shows Stanley's enthusiastic vision of the great fantasy movie he could have made and how it ended up being a commercial disaster.
