Plot
It is based on a play by Alfredo Manas, it is a gypsy version of Shakespeare's classic 'Romeo and Juliet'. Two warring clans since ancient times. On the one hand the Tarantos, on the other the Zorongos. At a wedding, Rafael el Taranto meets Juana la Zoronga. Both involved in the passion and magic of the celebration, they profess mutual love and make a covenant of blood. After a passionate night, they discover with horror that belong to two rival families. This cause must bring romance clandestinely. However, they are soon discovered. Rafael's mother, after seeing Juana dances, manages to overcome the ancestral hatred. However, Juana's father can not accept the link. This will cause a series of events that will trigger a terrible and irreparable tragedy. The film was nominated Best Foreign Language Film
