Long Time Running

After band leader Gord Downie is diagnosed with brain cancer, the Canadian rock band The Tragically Hip decides in 2016 to embark on a nationwide tour that will end with a nationally televised concert. This documentary is set out as a chronicle of how all the members of the group lived this unique experience. The feature film captures moments of great anguish, such as those that the singer lived during the pre-tour trials. In the end, millions of Canadians were attentive to the show that gave the band in their last concert. In fact, Downie himself states on the tape that, by then, he had already lost the fear he used to experience in front of the cameras. The documentary has been directed and written by Jennifer Baichwal and Nicholas de Pencier.
