Lola Pater

Zino is a 27-year-old boy, son of a couple of Algerian immigrants, who has just lost his mother in the city of Paris. Being an only child and being his mother the only person who has raised him, Zino believes that his father, Farid, abandoned them when he was only 2 years old. Seeing himself alone, the young man decides to look for his father but when he finally finds him, he gets a big surprise. His father is no longer Farid, but Lola.

'Lola Pater' is a Franco-Belgian co-production directed by Nadir Moknèche. The "double" role of Farid/Lola is played by Fanny Ardant, while her son, Zino, is the young actor Tewfik Jallab. The cast is completed by Lubna Azabal as the deceased woman, Nadia Kaci, Véronique Dumont and Bruno Sanches, among others.
