Inspiration

The film was an inspiration for Pixar movie '[MONSTERS, INC.].'

The film includes a reference to sci-fi movie '[THE FLY]', from 1958. It is playing on a TV in main character's closet.

Because of a fire that destroyed costumes and props for the film, filming was pushed back two weeks.

This is the first role for Fred's younger brother, Ben Savage. Kala Savage, sister to Fred and Ben, has a small role as a little monster too.
