Plot
'Letters to Paul Morrissey' is divided into five parts, based on five different letters from the cult filmmaker Paul Morrissey, who is well-known for his collaborative work with Andy Warhol on projects such as 'Trash'. The characters are excessive and exaggerated as they discuss their experiences and emotions, with everything culminating in a tribute to the work of this legendary filmmaker.
'Letters to Paul Morrissey' is an exploration of the impact of drugs, but also of vampirism, existential crises and the feelings of melancholy provoked by remembering an age gone by. It is these themes that mark the lives of many of the characters: a sexual symbol of underground cinema from the 60's and the 70's, two cursed lovers, a man seeking his salvation, a unsuccessful actress and a Japanese woman suffering from a mysterious disease.
This film is written and directed by Armand Rovira and Saida Benzal, who have worked together previously on 'Hoissuru'. Joining the cast are actors such as Joe Dallessandro, one of the most famous male sexual symbols of the underground cinema of the sixties and seventies and a homoerotic icon. Also forming the cast are the Almar G. Sato, Andrea Carballo, Xavi Sáez, María Fajula, Agnès Llobet, Saida Benzal, Esteve Torres and Joan Carles Suau.
