Letter from an Unknown Woman

Directed by Max Ophuls and starring Oscar-winning actress Joan Fontaine, Louis Jourdan, Mady Christians, Marcel Journet, Art Smith and Carol Yorke. The film is set in Vienna in 1900. Stefan Brand is a famous pianist, one night he receives a mysterious letter signed by a woman with whom he had a love affair in the past. Unable to remember his loving relationship, he believes that Lisa is a total stranger to him, someone who went through his life but not kept in his mind. Lisa is not so simple in this subject, the young pianist has continued love for years, waiting passionately living to the musician. The reality is that the two met when they were still teenagers, but the drama that will live will be as intense as passionate.
