'Leonardo: The Works' is the latest in Phil Grabsky's 'Exhibition on Screen' series designed to bring art exhibitions to the art lover's own home. This particular instalment intends to capture and analyse 22 of Da Vinci's paintings to mark the 500th of the painter and erudite. The documentary travels to various museums and galleries across cities such as Florence and Milan in countries including the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Poland, the USA and Russia with Phil Grabsky, David Bickerstaff and Hugh Hood, to offer audiences a high definition glimpse of some of the most iconic pieces of artwork in the world.
The documentary also provides some biographical insight into the life of the painter to offer an enlightening perspective on his works.
