Is 1852. Violette is a young woman in marriageable age, who lives in a small village in the area of the Alps. The young woman will see how her people are deprived of all men after the repression against the republicans ordered by Luis Napoleón Bonaparte, which will lead her, along with the other women of the town, to live in a state of complete isolation. Before the desperation of the situation and the desire to want to see their man, Violette and the rest of women decide to make a pact between them: If a man arrives at the town it will be for all, promising to give continuity to the life in the womb of each and every one of them.
