La mujer del siglo

Based on the novel of the same title by Margarita Melgar, the films takes us to the 1919 barcelona, where young Consuelo Deulofeu gets a job at the El Siglo storehouse, home of the new exhibition about modernist painter Isidre Nonell. But even thought she gets the job, Consuelo finds out that all of the women that work there are from the upper class, while she was abandoned at the age of 3. Things get complicated when she discovers she has gypsy ancestry, so it will be nearly impossible for her to get a job, although that won't stop her from investigating her mysterious past connected to Nonell. Television movie directed by Silvia Quer ('23-F: El día más difícil del Rey') and starring Elena Martín ('Júlia ist') and Nora Navas ('Pain & Glory').
