La maldición del guapo

'La maldición del guapo' is a comedy where they touch themes with which anyone can connect as fatherhood, selfishness, attraction to money, dangerous friendships, the pressure of the search for success, the postponed vocations, the temptations of challenges which turn to be impossible or the difficulty of finding the love.

The protagonist of the film, Humberto, is a man seducer and swindler in equal parts. He leads a quiet life in Madrid after having fulfilled a scam that cost him the relationship he had with his son. Jorge, his son, is now a very honest man who will be little represented in his father, but who will eventually end up being wrapped up in his problems when he is the victim of a robbery in the jewelry store where he works.

'La maldición del guapo' is an elegant and clever comedy of scammers in which anybody is what they really say.

The movie is directed by Beda Docampo Feijóo ('Crazy Loves', 'Buenos Aires me mata') and starred by Malena Alteiro ('Aquí no hay quien viva', 'Dangerous Moms'), Gonzalo de Castro ('Doctor Mateo', 'Superlopez'), Andrea Duro ('Cathedral of the Sea', 'Promesas de arena'), Cayetana Guillén Cuervo ('The Ministry of Time', 'Love in Difficult Times') y Carlos Hipólito ('Locked Up', '1898: Our Last Men in the Philippines'), among others.
