Plot
'La Chimera', directed by Alice Rohrwacher, winner of the Silver Spike at the Seminci, opens in cinemas in Spain on April 12, 2024. This captivating and poetic rural adventure, < b>distributed by Elástica Films, made its world debut in the Official Selection of the Cannes Film Festival. The cast is led by Josh O'Connor, who plays an archaeologist involved in the illegal trafficking of archaeological artifacts.
Set in the Tuscan countryside, Rohrwacher invites us with 'La Chimera', his fourth feature film, to immerse ourselves in a new fable with magical and poetic touches that transports us to rural Italy in the 80s. The plot follows Arthur, an archaeologist with a special talent for finding objects buried underground. This ability makes him a treasure hunter in the Italian region that is home to the ruins of the Etruscan civilization. However, what Arthur really longs to find is Beniamina, his lost love.
