La brigade

Cathy is a sous-chef who has always wanted to dedicate her life to cooking. Her dream is to open her own restaurant, but at the age of forty she is seriously thinking of giving it up. Besides, as if that were not enough, her financial problems force her to take a job at the cafeteria of a shelter for immigrants. At the beginning, she thinks that she is not going to like it since it is not at all what she wanted to do. However, she will soon realize that her dream is not lost yet.

'La brigade', distributed by Caramel Films in Spain, is directed by Louis-Julien Petit and written by Liza Benguigui, Sophie Benzadoun and Louis-Julien Petit himself. It is the fifth film by the UK-born French director.

The cast will be headed by actress Audrey Lamy (nominated for Best Newcomer Actress for 'All That Glitters' at the 2011 César Awards) as Cathy and she will be joined by François Cluzet (known for his role as a quadriplegic man in 'The Intouchables' and César Award winner as Best Leading Actor for 'Don't Tell Anyone' in 2007) as Lorenzo. Lamy and Petit had previously worked together as lead actress and director in the film 'Invisibles' (2018).

The feature is produced by Odyssée Pictures in collaboration with France 3 Cinéma, Apollo Films, Elemiah, Pictanovo and Charlie Films.

'La brigade' will be released in theaters on June 17, 2022.
