La abuela

Susana abandons her life as a model in Paris to return to Madrid after her grandmother Pilar suffers a stroke. When Susana's parents died, her grandmother raised her as if she were her own daughter and now she has to find someone to take care of her. What should be only a few days with her grandmother, will end up turning into a terrifying nightmare. Paco Plaza, director of the film, began his professional career directing short films such as 'Abuelitos' or 'Rompecabezas'. In 2001 he launched his first feature film, 'The Children of Abraham', with which he received the European Grand Prize for Fantastic Film at the Sitges Film Festival. But it wasn?t until he released 'REC' that he became an essential figure in fantasy cinema. With her, she won several awards such as the Jury Prize at the Gérardmer Festival in 2008 and the Audience Award at the Sitges Festival in 2007. He has also won several Goya Awards nominations with films such as 'Verónica' (2017) and 'Quien a hierro mata' (2018). In addition, he has participated in the popular Spanish TV series 'El ministerio del tiempo'. The cast of 'La abuela' are the actresses Almudena Amor ('El buen patrón'), Vera Valdez, Karina Kolokolchykova and Chacha Huang.
