King of the Belgians

'King of the Belgians' is a comedy directed by Peter Brosens and Jessica Woodworth which tells the story of King Nicolas III. The monarch is a solitary person who finds no interest in his boring life in the palace. To update his image, his advisers hire a British director, Duncan LLoyd, whose aim is to produce a documentary during his official visit to Istanbul that shows a more fun facet of the King. But during the stay, Wallonia, an area of ??southern Belgium, becomes independent of the rest of the state and the monarch decides that he must return to save his kingdom. At the same time, the planet is flooded in a solar storm that blocks the entire air circulation. As if that were not enough, the Turkish government forbids it to go by road. To reach his destination, he decides to embark on a clandestine trip through the Balkans with Lloyd.
