Kina & Yuk

Kina and Yuk are two foxes on the cusp of experiencing parenthood for the first time. Life in the Arctic is tremendously difficult, and these animals are beginning to feel the effects of global warming. The consequences of these changes mean, for example, that winters are not the same anymore, with temperatures rising and thus, the ice melting more rapidly.

Yuk is the first to suffer the consequences when, during an expedition, he becomes stranded on a drifting ice floe near the coast. Meanwhile, Kina, without her partner, faces the challenge of trying to survive in territories unfamiliar to her. Time is against her, and the moment for Mina to give birth is drawing closer, and she may have to do it alone.

This film is directed by French director Guillaume Maidatchevsky, who has already amazed us with 'Ailo's Odyssey' and 'My Cat and Me', and his ability to portray incredible landscapes and the expressiveness of animals. The director is also part of the screenplay team along with Michaël Souhaité, with Daniel Meyer in charge of cinematography and Julien Jaouen providing the music.
